Today is New Years Eve and I didn't have time to run my five miles today because I had to go shopping for a cute outfit to wear tonight!  Sometimes that is important.  So I swapped today and tomorrow's run.  I will have more time tomorrow to run 5 miles.  The run today was a little tough.  I notice sometimes my short runs are harder than my longer ones because I don't get as much time to get warm and get in the groove of my stride.  I ran a one mile loop that is convenient for me over lunch and I don't really care for the loop either.  

I looked ahead at the running schedule and it looks like this week is a short mileage week.  Next week starts three weeks of mileage climb. 

My brother sent me an email about his summary of his first marathon (The Chicago Marathon) and it was wonderful to read it.  It is wild to read his race habits and see how they are so similar to my own.  It was great to see what he took, wore and had for nourishment.  Thank you brother!
